कविता का सारांश: “विद्रोही”
यह कविता एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के बारे में है जो हमेशा सामान्य धारणा के विपरीत चलता है। यह व्यक्ति “विद्रोही” कहलाता है। जब सभी के बाल छोटे होते हैं, तब विद्रोही अपने बाल लंबे रखता है। जब सभी लोग लंबे बाल रखते हैं, तब वह अपने बाल छोटे कर लेता है। वह तब भी शांत रहता है जब सब लोग कक्षा में बातें कर रहे होते हैं, और जब सब चुप होते हैं, तब वह शोर मचाता है।
कविता में विद्रोही की विशेषताएँ स्पष्ट की गई हैं। जब सभी एक जैसी वर्दी पहनते हैं, तब विद्रोही अद्भुत कपड़े पहनता है। वहीं, जब लोग अद्भुत कपड़े पहनते हैं, तो वह साधारण कपड़ों में दिखता है। इसके अलावा, वह कुत्तों के प्रेमियों के बीच बिल्लियों की प्रशंसा करता है और बिल्लियों के प्रेमियों के बीच कुत्तों का गुणगान करता है।
जब सभी लोग सूरज की तारीफ कर रहे होते हैं, तब विद्रोही बारिश की जरूरत की बात करता है, और जब सब लोग बारिश का स्वागत करते हैं, तब वह सूरज की कमी का अफसोस जताता है। वह भीड़ में नहीं जाता जब सभी मीटिंग में जाते हैं, बल्कि घर पर किताब पढ़ता है, और जब सब लोग घर पर होते हैं, तब वह मीटिंग में जाता है।
कविता अंत में यह बताती है कि विद्रोही होना अच्छा है क्योंकि यह समाज में विविधता लाता है, लेकिन खुद विद्रोही होना कभी-कभी मुश्किल हो सकता है। कवि हमें सोचने पर मजबूर करता है कि क्या हम विद्रोही बनना चाहेंगे या नहीं, और इसके पीछे के कारणों पर विचार करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।
